We’re Patty and Lauren Feinstein, and we’re so happy you stopped by our store! Since you’re here to shop, we’ll keep this short and sweet—just a quick introduction before you dive in.

Cotton Island has been a part of our lives for 40 years. My husband, Jeff, and I opened our first location in Dallas after he successfully launched and later sold Tootsies in Houston (if you’re from Houston, you know Tootsies!). At the time, I was a hairdresser at a top Houston salon, but our shared love for fashion inspired us to start something new. When we moved to Dallas, Cotton Island took off—first in Highland Park, across from SMU, and later in Plano. Women of all ages, from college students to mothers and daughters, instantly connected with our fresh, unique style.

Lauren grew up in the store—spending Saturdays here as a little girl and working summers as a teen. It became a part of who she is!

In 2008, we faced an unimaginable loss when Jeff unexpectedly passed away. To honor him, we’ve placed a tiny heart with his initials on our signature Cotton Island Tees—keeping his spirit with us always.

Since then, Lauren and I have become a mother-daughter team that truly loves what we do. We’re passionate about curating the best styles and trends, personally handpicking pieces to ensure quality and style for our customers.
